Kitchen & Stone Benchtops In Penrith

Kitchen & Stone Benchtops Experts

Made-to-measure kitchens, wardrobes, laundries and joinery for homes across Penrith and greater Western Sydney. Designed, built in our workshop and installed by our own team, with a free measure and quote to start.

A new benchtop transforms a kitchen, and we help Penrith homeowners choose a surface that looks right, works hard and complies with the law. Following Australia's national ban on engineered (reconstituted) stone, we do not fabricate, supply or install Caesarstone-type quartz. Instead we work with compliant, silica-safe options: natural stone such as granite and marble through licensed stonemasons, hard-wearing porcelain and sintered surfaces, budget-friendly laminate and warm solid timber, plus stainless where a commercial edge suits. From new kitchens in Caddens and Jordan Springs to renovations in Emu Plains and St Marys, we design the cabinetry, coordinate the benchtop and install the finished job. Steve Smith and our team measure on site and give you a fixed, itemised quote. Call 0407 204 572.

Compliant benchtop options

With engineered stone prohibited across Australia, we focus on surfaces that are both legal and genuinely good to live with. Laminate is the budget-friendly all-rounder, now available in a huge range of colours, patterns and stone looks. Natural stone such as granite and marble gives a premium, unique surface and is fabricated and installed through licensed stonemasons we coordinate with. Porcelain and sintered stone are hard-wearing, heat and scratch resistant, and sit outside the engineered-stone ban. Solid timber brings warmth and can be sanded and re-oiled over time, while stainless steel suits butler's pantries and a more commercial look. We talk you through how each performs for your kitchen and budget.

How we build your kitchen

We start with a free on-site measure so the cabinetry and benchtop are drawn around your real room. Carcasses are built from durable board, with high moisture-resistant (HMR) material used around the sink and other damp-prone areas, and doors chosen from melamine, laminate, timber veneer or a painted 2-pac finish. Soft-close hinges and drawer runners are standard, with full-extension runners and internal organisers available. For stone benchtops we coordinate a licensed stonemason to template, fabricate and install the slab, while laminate and timber tops we can handle directly. We build the cabinetry in our workshop, install on site, then fit the benchtop, sink cut-outs and splashback details. The result is a kitchen designed, built and installed as one coordinated job.

What a new kitchen costs

Kitchen cost varies widely with size, layout, materials, benchtop choice and hardware, so every figure here is a guide only. Cabinetry alone for a modest kitchen usually starts lower, while a larger kitchen with a butler's pantry, premium doors and a natural stone benchtop sits much higher. As a rough guide, many Penrith kitchen fit-outs fall somewhere in the $12,000 to $30,000 range once cabinetry and benchtops are combined, with smaller updates below that and premium projects above. Benchtop choice is a major lever: laminate is the most affordable, timber and porcelain sit in the middle, and natural stone is typically the premium option. We give you a fixed, itemised quote after measuring so you can adjust the specification to suit your budget. You stay in control of where the money goes.

Custom kitchens vs flat-pack

Flat-pack kitchens from IKEA or Kaboodle can suit a tight budget and a standard-shaped room, and for some jobs they are a fair choice. Their limitation is fit and finish: set module sizes struggle with the odd wall lengths and out-of-square rooms common in older Emu Plains and Blaxland homes, often leaving filler panels. Custom cabinetry is built to your exact measurements, so it fills the space cleanly and lets you choose carcass material, door finish, handles and benchtop. You also get one team measuring, building and installing, rather than self-assembly and separate benchtop chasing. With benchtops, the compliant options we fit apply whichever route you take, since engineered stone is banned for everyone. For most renovations, made-to-measure gives the better long-term result.

What Our Kitchen & Stone Benchtops Customers Say About Us

The Process

3 Step Process For Your Kitchen & Stone Benchtops Needs

Free Measure, Design and Quote

It starts with a free in-home consultation across Penrith and the surrounding suburbs. We measure the space precisely, talk through how you use the room and sketch out a design that fits your walls, storage needs and style. We walk you through material choices, door finishes, hardware and compliant benchtop options so you understand what drives the price. You then receive a fixed, itemised quote with no obligation, so you can weigh it up in your own time.

Built in Our Workshop

Once the design, materials and quote are confirmed, your cabinetry is built in our own workshop by our own crew. We use hard-wearing carcass materials and moisture-resistant HMR board for wet areas such as kitchens, laundries and vanities, matched to the finish you have chosen. Quality soft-close hinges and runners are fitted as standard for a smooth, quiet action. Building in-house means we control the quality at every stage and can keep you updated on how the job is progressing.

Professional Installation

On install day, our team delivers and fits the finished cabinetry, scribing it neatly to your walls and floor so it sits level and true. We handle the whole fit-out ourselves rather than leaving you to assemble and hang doors, and we adjust every hinge and drawer so it opens and closes cleanly. We tidy up as we go and walk you through the finished result before we leave. Should anything need a small adjustment after settling in, we are local and easy to reach on 0407 204 572.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Everything you need to know about our Kitchen & Stone Benchtops In Penrith

Do you make engineered or Caesarstone benchtops?

No. Engineered, reconstituted and artificial stone, including Caesarstone-type quartz, is prohibited across Australia. The ban on manufacturing, supplying, processing and installing it began on 1 July 2024, with a ban on imports from 1 January 2025, following silicosis health findings. We do not fabricate, supply, cut or install it. Instead we offer compliant options: natural stone, porcelain and sintered surfaces, laminate, solid timber and stainless.

What benchtop should I choose instead of engineered stone?

It depends on your budget and how you use the kitchen. Laminate is the most cost-effective and comes in a huge range of looks, porcelain and sintered stone are extremely hard-wearing, and natural stone such as granite gives a premium, one-off surface. Timber suits a warm, natural kitchen and can be refreshed over time. We talk through how each performs and coordinate a licensed stonemason for natural stone.

Can you fit a new kitchen in a Jordan Springs or Caddens new build?

Yes, new-build kitchens across Penrith's growth estates are a core part of our work. We fit full kitchens, butler's pantries and laundries in Jordan Springs, Caddens, Ropes Crossing and Thornton, measuring on site once the space is ready. We coordinate cabinetry and a compliant benchtop as one job. Call 0407 204 572 to book a free measure and quote.

We are renovating an older kitchen in Emu Plains, can you help?

Definitely. Established homes in Emu Plains, St Marys and Penrith often have out-of-square walls and dated layouts that suit made-to-measure cabinetry. We measure the existing space, design around what is there and can work in with your plumber and electrician. You get cabinetry and a compliant benchtop that fit the real room rather than a fixed box range.

Is porcelain affected by the engineered stone ban?

No, porcelain and sintered stone are not engineered stone and are not covered by the ban. They are made differently and do not carry the same crystalline-silica risk that led to the prohibition. That makes them a popular, hard-wearing and fully compliant choice for benchtops. Natural stone such as granite and marble is also unaffected.

Do you handle the benchtop and cabinetry together?

Yes, we coordinate the whole kitchen so you are not juggling separate trades. We design and build the cabinetry, and for natural stone we arrange a licensed stonemason to template, fabricate and install the slab. Laminate and timber tops we can supply and fit directly. That gives you one accountable point of contact from measure to finished kitchen.
