Made-to-measure kitchens, wardrobes, laundries and joinery for homes across Penrith and greater Western Sydney. Designed, built in our workshop and installed by our own team, with a free measure and quote to start.
Penrith Custom Cabinets designs and builds made-to-measure kitchens for homes right across the Penrith region, from new-estate handovers in Jordan Springs, Ropes Crossing and Caddens to renovations in established St Marys and Emu Plains. Owner Steve Smith has spent more than twelve years planning kitchens that fit awkward walls, tight galleys and open-plan family spaces properly, without the gaps and fillers you get from box units. Every job starts with a free measure-and-quote and a fixed, itemised price, then moves through design, workshop build and installation by our own team. We fit quality soft-close hinges and runners as standard and finish in laminate, melamine, timber veneer or 2-pac to suit your budget. Fully insured with $20 million public liability.

Penrith Custom Cabinets
We build full kitchen fit-outs for new homes as well as replacement kitchens for renovations, so the brief can be anything from a compact galley to a wrap-around family layout with an island. Popular choices across Penrith include walk-in and butler's pantries, which suit the larger floor plans coming out of Jordan Springs and Caddens, and slimmer, storage-first designs for older cottages in Emu Plains. Door styles range from flat, handleless profiles to classic framed doors for character homes in the Blue Mountains foothills. You can specify overhead cabinets, full-height pantry banks, appliance towers, drawer stacks and corner solutions such as carousels or bi-fold units. For benchtops we offer compliant surfaces only, including laminate, natural stone through a licensed stonemason, porcelain and solid timber. We do not supply or install engineered stone, in line with the national prohibition. Every layout is drawn to your room, your appliances and the way you actually cook.

After the measure-and-quote we produce a design and a cutting plan tailored to your exact dimensions. Carcasses are usually built from HMR (high moisture resistant) board, which handles the damp and steam of a working kitchen better than standard board, though no cabinetry material is fully waterproof. Doors and fronts can be melamine, laminate, timber veneer or painted 2-pac depending on the look and budget you want. We fit quality soft-close hinges and drawer runners as standard, of the calibre made by recognised brands such as Blum and Hettich, and can add full-extension runners, internal drawer organisers and handleless push-to-open options. The cabinets are made in our workshop, then delivered and installed by our own team, who scribe units to your walls and floors for a proper fit. Benchtops and splashbacks are co-ordinated as part of the install so the finished kitchen goes together cleanly.
Penrith Custom Cabinets
Steve Smith has been designing and building kitchens across Penrith and Western Sydney for more than twelve years, so you deal directly with the person making your cabinets rather than a call centre. Every quote is free, fixed and itemised, so you can see exactly what you are paying for before any work begins. We are fully insured with $20 million public liability, and we stand behind our own workmanship, with manufacturer warranties applying to the hardware and materials we fit. Because we measure, build and install ourselves, there is one point of accountability from first visit to final handover. We know the local building stock, from new-estate slab homes to older brick-and-tile in St Marys, and design around the quirks each one throws up. Our aim is a kitchen that fits your room and your routine, not a set of standard boxes forced to fit.

Kitchen pricing varies widely, so treat any figure as a guide until we have measured your space. As a rough indication, a smaller replacement kitchen using laminate doors and a laminate benchtop often starts in the region of $12,000 to $18,000 supplied and installed. A mid-range family kitchen with a mix of finishes, more drawers and a stone or porcelain benchtop typically runs from around $20,000 to $35,000. Larger designs with a butler's pantry, premium 2-pac doors and higher-end hardware can move beyond that again. The final price depends on size, materials, door finish, benchtop choice, hardware and site conditions. Our free measure-and-quote gives you a fixed, itemised number so there are no vague allowances to worry about later.

Flat-pack kitchens from IKEA, Kaboodle or similar can be a sensible budget choice when a room takes standard-sized modules and you are happy to assemble and install them yourself. Where custom earns its keep is fit and finish: a made-to-measure kitchen uses every millimetre of an odd wall, a tight galley or a sloping older home in Blaxland or Warrimoo without leaving filler panels and dead corners. You also choose the carcass material, door finish, edge profile, handles and benchtop rather than picking from a fixed retail range. With custom, one local team measures, builds and installs, so you are not left co-ordinating self-assembly and a separate fitter. The finished, installed kitchen carries our own workmanship warranty. For many Penrith homes the deciding factor is simply that the space is not a standard shape.
Made-to-measure built-in wardrobes that use every inch of your bedroom wall. Sliding or hinged doors, custom internal layouts and soft-close hardware, measured, built and installed for Penrith homes by our own team.
Commercial joinery and shopfitting for Penrith businesses. We build counters, display, reception desks and back-of-house storage for retail, hospitality and office fit-outs around Westfield Penrith and the CBD. Durable materials, measured and installed by our own team.
Made-to-measure wardrobes, laundry, garage and study storage built to your Penrith home's exact dimensions. We design around awkward walls and daily habits, then build and install joinery that uses every millimetre. Soft-close hardware as standard.

It starts with a free in-home consultation across Penrith and the surrounding suburbs. We measure the space precisely, talk through how you use the room and sketch out a design that fits your walls, storage needs and style. We walk you through material choices, door finishes, hardware and compliant benchtop options so you understand what drives the price. You then receive a fixed, itemised quote with no obligation, so you can weigh it up in your own time.

Once the design, materials and quote are confirmed, your cabinetry is built in our own workshop by our own crew. We use hard-wearing carcass materials and moisture-resistant HMR board for wet areas such as kitchens, laundries and vanities, matched to the finish you have chosen. Quality soft-close hinges and runners are fitted as standard for a smooth, quiet action. Building in-house means we control the quality at every stage and can keep you updated on how the job is progressing.

On install day, our team delivers and fits the finished cabinetry, scribing it neatly to your walls and floor so it sits level and true. We handle the whole fit-out ourselves rather than leaving you to assemble and hang doors, and we adjust every hinge and drawer so it opens and closes cleanly. We tidy up as we go and walk you through the finished result before we leave. Should anything need a small adjustment after settling in, we are local and easy to reach on 0407 204 572.
Yes. A lot of our work is full kitchen fit-outs for new and handover homes across Penrith's growth estates, including Jordan Springs, Ropes Crossing, Caddens and Thornton. We can work from your builder's plans or measure once the walls are up, and we co-ordinate the kitchen with any butler's pantry, laundry or alfresco cabinetry you want at the same time. Booking your measure-and-quote early helps us line the build up with your move-in timing.
Absolutely. Renovation kitchens in established suburbs such as St Marys, Penrith CBD and Emu Plains are a big part of what we do. We measure the existing space, work around fixed plumbing and windows where needed, and build to suit walls that are rarely perfectly square in older homes. You can keep the current footprint or reconfigure the layout, and we handle removal of the old cabinets as part of the job where required.
No. Engineered, reconstituted or artificial stone is prohibited in Australia under a national ban that took effect on 1 July 2024, with an import ban from 1 January 2025, due to serious silicosis risks. We do not supply, process or install it. Instead we offer compliant benchtops including laminate, natural stone through a licensed stonemason, porcelain and solid timber, and we are happy to talk through which suits your kitchen and budget.
It depends on your room and what you want from it. Flat-pack works well for standard-sized spaces on a tight budget if you are comfortable assembling and installing it yourself. Custom is the better fit when a wall is an awkward length, a galley is tight, or you want specific materials, finishes and hardware that a fixed retail range does not offer. You also get one local team to measure, build, install and stand behind the finished result.
For doors and fronts you can choose melamine, laminate, timber veneer or painted 2-pac in gloss, satin or matt. Carcasses are typically built in HMR board, which resists moisture well in a kitchen setting, though no material is completely waterproof. For benchtops we offer laminate, natural stone, porcelain and timber, all compliant with current regulations. We will bring samples to your measure-and-quote so you can see the finishes in your own light.
Timeframes depend on the size and finish of the kitchen and how busy the workshop is, so we give you a realistic lead time at quoting rather than a fixed promise. As a general guide, most kitchens run over a number of weeks from approved design to installation, with the cabinets built in our workshop before we book the install. Benchtops such as stone are usually templated after the cabinets are in, which adds a short period before final fitting. We will keep you updated on timing throughout.
